In an age when society has lost faith in our leaders due to highly publicized unethical practices, the study and active development of leadership has never seemed more important. Society is in need of ethically centered leaders and Ball State University is in a position to take a more direct approach where leadership development is concerned.
Building off the already nationally recognized Excellence in Leadership program and in conjunction with Goal One, Article Five of the Ball State Strategic Plan (provide all students with enhanced learning opportunities through international, internship, practicum, research, service learning, and leadership development experiences), the Office of Student Life in partnership with the Department of Educational Studies has created an academic minor in leadership studies.
