The NREM Alumni Society will host its annual awards dinner and program on Friday, April 19, 2013. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Ball State University Alumni Center.
Meal options include: grilled chicken, seared salmon or vegetarian. Every meal comes with entrée, side, salad, rolls, dessert and coffee, decaf, tea. One complimentary beverage ticket is included with each prepaid reservation.
No charge. Cash Bar.

To nominate NREM alumni who are excelling in their careers and communities for a society honor, please visit our awards page for more information. Nominations must be received by February 2013 and will remain in consideration for three years.
12th Annual NREM Internship & Career Fair
January 31, 2013
The 12th annual NREM Internship & Career Fair was held at the Ball State University Alumni Center on January 31, 2013. One hundred and seventy students from natural resources and environmental management and related fields including, biology, landscape architecture, geology, geography, criminal justice, communications, and more pursued internship opportunities, part-time and full-time employment, and gained career advice from professionals in their area of interest. More than 20 employers were in attendance and four organizations provided printed internship materials for the event.

More than 20 NREM alumni and friends attended the NREM Adopt-A-River Clean-Up on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Hundreds of pounds of trash and tires were removed from this adopted section of the White River.
The 2012 NREM Alumni Awards Dinner was held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Ball State University Alumni Center. The Award of Distinction was presented to Jane Hardisty, '74. Hardisty is the state conservationist with Natural Resource Conservation Services. The Award of Achievement was presented to Michael Mettler,'86 BS '88 and Michael Womack, '96. Mettler serves as director, environmental public health with the Indiana State Department of Health. Womack is owner of Charlotte Creek Nursery, LLC. The Award of Merit was presented to Stephanie Dilk, '02 and Sarah Matheny, MS '07. Dilk is the education manager at Minnetrista Cultural Center (Muncie). Matheny is an interpretive naturalist with Metro Parks in Summit County, Ohio.
The NREM Alumni Society invited alumni and friends from the College of Sciences and Humanities to Cardinal Night After Work at the Downtown Rock Bottom (10 West Washington Street, Indianapolis) on Thursday, March 15. From 4:30 - 7:00 p.m., alumni had the opportunity to catch up with former classmates, meet members of the of the Ball State family, and win great door prizes! Substantial hor d'oeuvres and one complimentary beverage ticket were included in the $15 per person price of the event.
