The excitement of Homecoming Week will culminate on Saturday, October 11, with a variety of activities that welcome alumni, students, friends, and the Muncie community.
All Alumni Coffee Hour - Alumni and friends can gather under the tent at the corner of McKinley and University Avenues at 9:30 a.m. for coffee before the parade. Refreshments were are complimentary while supplies last. Sponsored by the Ball State Federal Credit Union.
2nd Annual Ball State Homecoming 5k Run/Walk - The Homecoming 5k Run/Walk is a great event for alumni and friends of all ages and fitness levels. The course will go along the parade route and through campus, and is hosted by America Multi Sport. View additional 5k information | Register online
Parade - More than 100 units participate in the parade! The lineup will begin at Muncie Central High School. The parade will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. View additional parade information.
Parade - Student Watch Section - Watch the parade with your friends and earn Pride Points! Come hang out and enjoy complimentary refreshments and games in front of North Quad (grassy area near scramble light) while watching the parade! The first 100 students will receive a free Ball State Homecoming stadium cup.
Pre-Game Luncheon and Reunions - Alumni and friends are invited to have lunch at the Alumni Center from Noon - 3:00 p.m. A buffet is available for $20 per adult, $10 for children 5-12, and free for children ages 4 and under. New Orleans Legends: Preservations
Hall Jazz Band & Allen Toussaint Concert - 8:00 p.m., Emens Auditorium. Preservation
Hall Jazz Band and New Orleans icon Allen Toussaint will join forces for the
first time ever for an evening of legendary music making. Preservation Hall was
founded in 1961 to promote traditional New Orleans jazz in all its
authenticity. Legendary players like George Lewis, Sweet Emma Barrett and Kid
Thomas Valentine, all rooted in the formative years jazz, were its original
stars. That generation is long gone now, yet the hall is still in business and
the Preservation Hall Jazz Band continues to tour the world. Ticket Information
