Imagine Schools on Broadway

    Imagine Schools Broadway renovated an old parochial school and an adjoining Lutheran church for their elementary charter school. The school removed all religious components including: the steeple, crucifix, stained glass, and other religious features. This charter school on Broadway works closely with the existing Imagine MASTer Academy, also located in Fort Wayne. They follow a similar curriculum with an emphasis on math, art, science and technology (MAST) and share some administrative resources, transportation resources, and extracurricular programs. Because the students located in the Broadway school will use the other school’s facility, buses are provided for after school transportation. Even though the site is urban and tightly bounded, it offers physical exercise opportunities with the gymnasium in the rear, and an outdoor playground. One extracurricular opportunity being explored is indoor soccer. They hope to use this sport to get the community involved.
