What Can I Do with a Major in…

Earth Science

The earth science major combines the disciplines of geology, oceanography, meteorology, and environmental sciences. Some graduates with a bachelor’s degree work in environmental planning for consulting companies or government agencies. Others find employment in the mining or petroleum industries. With additional course work, some earth science majors become teachers.  The following occupations represent some career opportunities available to earth science majors.
