Human Resource Management 

Human resource management is a large network of functions concerned with managing people in work organizations. It includes recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, grievances, and advancement. HR managers design and manage processes and programs that create and sustain an effective workforce that supports the objectives of an organization. Professionals in this field need a wide variety of skills including accounting, statistics, legal knowledge, management, conflict resolution, communication, and persuasion. A major in human resource management and organizational behavior prepares graduates to assume positions of responsibility and leadership in business, government, and civic organizations.
