Employment Information

Here, you’ll find information regarding both on and off campus employment, graduate assistantships, Federal Work Study and Cardinal Career Link, you gateway to opportunities beyond academia.

Begin the student employment application process by completing a very simple application.

You can find forms required by the university and the federal government to make you eligible for student employment. Your federal I-9 must be completed in the Career Center office and you are required by the federal government to provide documentation. Most students use a photo ID with either an original birth certificate or an original social security card. Copies cannot be accepted. A valid passport may also be used.

Navigate to Cardinal ViewJobs and click on the Job Number in the right column to have instant access to the job description, pay rate, and qualifications for the position selected. You can narrow your search by selecting filters or search for off campus jobs.

Federal Work Study may be either on or off campus as we have many community service employers who employ students during the academic year.

You can use Cardinal ViewJobs to seek available Graduate Assistantships, too. Not all assistantships are posted on ViewJobs. Most are addressed internally by the departments.

The on-campus job postings on Cardinal ViewJobs are available without a username or password. The Career Center, in Lucina Hall 220, coordinates all on-campus student employment at Ball State University.

Cardinal Career Link can assist you with setting interviews with on campus recruiters for both local and national employers. You can have your resume evaluated by our experienced staff and posted for employers to review.
