Who can purchase items at the Computer Store?
Only valid students, faculty, and staff are able to purchase items at our store. All eligible customers must have a valid Ball State ID. You may pick up your Ball State ID at the Registrar's Office located in Lucina Hall. Below are details about eligibility.
Enrolled Students – Students enrolled in at least one course for credit are eligible to purchase software, hardware, and accessories in the Computer Store.
Entering Students – Accepted students who have stated their intent to enroll at Ball State but not yet enrolled in courses are eligible for hardware and accessory purchases. They are not eligible to purchase software.
Employees - Current employees are eligible to purchase most software, hardware, and accessories. Many of the software titles are available under a "work at home" agreement. Please be aware that employee pricing can vary by product.
Department – Ball State departments are eligible to purchase software, hardware, and accessories. Please note that certain software titles are exclusive to students and are not eligible for purchase from departments.
Alumni – Alumni are eligible to purchase accessories. They are not eligible for hardware or software purchases.
Retirees – Retirees are eligible to purchase accessories. They are not eligible for hardware or software purchases
Restricted Item sales – At the request of departments, the showcase may stock specific items and restrict sales to a limited group of students.

Can my parent come in and purchase items for me?
Yes. We require they have the student's Ball State ID number at the time of purchase.
I am eligible if I am enrolled in classes at Ivy Tech?
No. Only valid Ball State students, faculty, and staff are eligible to purchase items.
