Ball State University was recently identified as one of 75 colleges that go above and beyond the mandates of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Learn more about how Ball State excels in offering services to students with disabilities.
The role of Disabled Student Development (DSD) is to coordinate services and accommodations for students with disabilities. In doing so, we review disability documentation, meet with students to determine appropriate accommodations, and work with other areas on campus to implement the accommodations.
DSD empowers you to take control of your own educational experience. We assist you along the way by providing access and opportunity in order for you to reach your full potential.
Our office balances the legal rights of students with disabilities and the integrity of Ball State’s institutional standards. DSD serves as a clearinghouse for all student disability-related issues at Ball State. In addition to coordinating academic accommodations, we provide disability awareness programs and training for the campus.
Now you are asking yourself, “How do I register with DSD to receive accommodations?" Start the verification process now.
