Commuter Ambassador Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Mentor a team of freshmen
commuter students throughout the fall semester, including the initial calling
of students prior to “Commuting 101”
- Attend Ambassador training:
two days in July 2013 and August 14 - 16
- Attend and participate in
the planning of “Commuting 101,” a summer workshop for commuting students
on August 17, 2013
- Coordinate and attend a minimum
of two team activities during the fall semester
- Meet with each student
individually throughout the semester
- Attend Freshman Connection
activities and other group activities as decided by supervisors
- Attend bi-weekly Commuter
Ambassador staff meetings
Meet with supervisors on a
bi-monthly basis to assess team progress; complete monthly activity
reports
Qualifications:
- Must be a current Ball State University student with a minimum 2.5 GPA;
- Posses mentor/leadership
experience
- Demonstrate strong written and
verbal communication skills
- Hold outstanding interpersonal
skills
- Keep a flexible schedule
Show an ability to work
cooperatively with other students and supervisors
