Tenure-track faculty position available August 16, 2013.
Responsibilities: teaching courses in the following areas—fundamentals of network design, systems administration, electronic communication administration, alternative PC operating systems, internetwork design and administration, infrastructure services, internetwork switching, and capstone in computer technology; scholarly activity; working cooperatively with faculty and staff to foster curriculum implementation, assessment, and improvement.
Minimum qualifications: doctorate in computer technology or related field; record of successful teaching in secondary and/or higher education; relevant professional experience in computer technology; effective oral and written communication skills; ability to work cooperatively and interact effectively with faculty and staff to contribute to the strategic plan for the department, college, and university.
Preferred qualifications: significant professional experience in computer technology and higher education; evidence of scholarship through publications, presentations, and successful grant proposals; successful involvement with professional organizations in the discipline; Cisco and/or Microsoft certification.
