Design Innovation Fellow, Contract Faculty Position, Department of Architecture

Contract faculty position aimed at emerging or accomplished professionals available August 17, 2012.

Major responsibilities: teach a design studio and a lecture/seminar in the area of his/her interest; work with a graduate research assistant to pursue a vigorous design/research agenda that could culminate in a publication and exhibition of work at the conclusion of the fellowship. The university’s resources in the areas of digital design, fabrication, responsive and interactive environments, digital intermedia, lighting, entrepreneurship, and emerging media will be available to the candidate.

Minimum qualification: terminal degree in architecture or related field.

Preferred qualifications: doctorate in architecture or related field; experience with digital media and evidence of cutting edge design or design research; candidate who shows promise to take on a leadership role in shaping the discourses of design fields; ability to articulate a clear agenda for fellowship duration.
