Tenure-track faculty position available August 17, 2012. Responsibilities: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in social foundations of education and/or multicultural education; research and scholarly productivity in social foundations of education and/or multicultural education; service involvement in and contributions to academic or professional organizations and societies that represent social foundations of education or multicultural education; service to the department, college, and university.
Minimum qualifications: all requirements for a doctoral degree in social foundations of education (history, sociology, anthropology, philosophy), multicultural education or related field completed by appointment; hold or have held a teaching credential; demonstrate strong potential for a well-articulated research agenda; a commitment to issues of diversity and equity in educational policy and practice.
Preferred qualifications: evidence of an established record of scholarship; potential to direct research of graduate students; post-secondary teaching experience; appropriate and successful teaching experience in P-12; familiarity with instructional technology.
