Assistant Professor-Curriculum and Instruction, Department of Educational Studies

Tenure-track faculty position available August 17, 2012, in curriculum and instruction/clinical practice.

Responsibilities: teaching courses in curriculum and instruction; research and scholarly productivity on the clinical preparation of teachers (particularly STEM education); university-school collaboration; comparative models of the clinical preparation of teachers; seeking external funding related to the clinical preparation of teachers and university-school collaboration; service to academic or professional organizations and societies that represent curriculum and instruction as it relates to the clinical preparation of teachers as well as the department

Minimum qualifications: complete all requirements for a doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction or related field by the date of appointment; demonstrate strong potential for a coherent research agenda that matches the position description; secondary education teaching experience.

Preferred qualifications: evidence of an established record of scholarship; three years of secondary teaching experience; successful post-secondary teaching experience; familiarity with on-line pedagogies.
