Staff position available immediately.
Responsibilities: under direction of the unit manager, oversee and supervise employees in achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, food quality, service of food and financial goals, while in compliance with all applicable food service safety and sanitation standards, regulations, rules, policies and procedures of Ball State University.
Work hours and days as assigned.
Minimum qualifications: associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college, university, or educational institution in food management, culinary arts, or hotel, restaurant and institutional management; OR associate’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or home economics/dietetics with concentration in foods and demonstrated food management experience; over three months of direct or related work experience (exclusive of teaching) in commercial or institutional food service, with demonstrated leadership and dynamic team building skills; must possess oral and written communication skills; and must possess basic computer skills in Windows-based word processing and Excel spreadsheet applications.
Preferred qualifications: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in food management, hotel, restaurant and institutional management, business, or marketing with a minimum of five years of direct or related work experience (exclusive of teaching) in a commercial or institutional food service, with demonstrated leadership and dynamic team building skills.
Starting salary $29,932 with an excellent benefits package.
