Dependent Flex Spending Account

  • Employees may contribute up to $5,000 each plan year to the Flex Spending Account plan.
  • Dependent Care expenses include expenses necessary for you and your spouse (if married) to be gainfully employed or attend school:
    • Expenses paid to a dependent care provider
    • Expenses paid for care of a dependent under age 13
    • Expenses paid for care of a dependent who is physically or mentally incapable of caring for himself/herself
    • Employees can receive reimbursement from their Dependent FSA only up to the current balance of their account.
    • Any money left in the account after the end of the Plan Year not claimed within 90 days will not be paid to the employee.
