Philip Repp serves as Vice President for Information Technology, which includes Unified Technology Support, Emerging Technologies, Hybrid Design Technologies, University Libraries, University Media Services, WIPB-TV-Public Broadcasting affiliate, IPR-National Public Radio, Information Security Services, Enterprise Project Support Office, Enterprise Computing Operations, Information Systems Services, and Unified Communications. Information Technology’s primary mission is addressing the concerns, issues, and needs of those using the university’s technology systems and advancing a high-performing and user sensitive technology ecosystem. 

Mr. Repp assists the university to develop a sound cyberinfrastructure, cultivate the appropriate use of emerging technologies, and create an open and approachable user-support environment. His portfolio includes leading initiatives on institutional technology system review and replacement, business and system continuity, technology governance, statewide network planning, and advancing emerging technologies.

Mr. Repp’s academic and administrative experience at Ball State University includes service as Associate Professor of Art/Design, Chairperson of the School of Art, Associate Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Director of the Visualization, Imaging, and Animation Lab, and Associate Vice President for Information Technology. Prior to Ball State, Mr. Repp had teaching positions at Virginia Tech and Michigan State University.

Mr. Repp received his baccalaureate from Bowling Green State University and his Master’s Degree from Michigan State University.
