Ball State is fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA).
The university's last review for reaccreditation was in 2004, and it was approved for a 10-year period. During this review, HCL informed the university that it would not have to undergo any type of interim review or monitoring. The reaccreditation came as a result of Ball State's engagement in a two-year process in which it completed a comprehensive self-study, solicited community input, and underwent a site visit by a team of consultant evaluators drawn from higher education.
Ball State's next review will take place in 2014, and we look forward to positive results.
