Credit by Departmental Exam Authorization Policy
You may take a departmental examination before you enroll or while you are attending Ball State. Credit by departmental examination will not be awarded if you have been or are currently enrolled in that course for credit or audit. You may not repeat a departmental examination for credit for one year.
Credit Any university department may administer an examination for any departmental course. If the score is satisfactory according to departmental standards, credit will be granted. See a list of

Procedures
You must obtain an Application and Certification for Credit by Departmental Examination, Authorization, and Related Field Experience from the appropriate departmental office. Procedures are outlined in detail on the form.
Cost The fee is $50 for each exam and is subject to change.
