Request Transcripts
Important: due to the security in place on electronic transcripts there are known issues with opening them on Apple Computers. Please visit our "Apple Computer How To" and Electronic Transcript FAQ pages for more information.
Ball State University provides students several convenient options for ordering transcripts:
For Currently Enrolled Students
- No fee for transcripts sent via regular postal mail for current students
- No fee for transcripts picked up at the registrar's office, Lucina Hall B-43 for current students
- $12.00 fee for an electronic transcript (PDF) plus a $1.75 National Student Clearinghouse processing fee
- Overnight delivery is available for a significantly higher fee
How the Process Works for Current Students
Students who are currently enrolled can make mail and pick up requests via the transcript order page here.
Current students wishing to order an electronic transcript must do so through the National Student Clearinghouse secure transcript order site.
For Former Students and Alumni Not Enrolled in the Current Term
- $12.00 fee for each transcript copy sent via regular postal mail
- $12.00 fee for each transcript copy picked up at the registrar's office, Lucina Hall B-43
- $12.00 fee for an electronic transcript (PDF) plus a $1.75 National Student Clearinghouse processing fee
- Overnight delivery is available for a significantly higher fee
How the Process Works for Former Students and Alumni
Former students and alumni may request copies of their transcript via the National Student Clearinghouse secure order site. Users of the new service will be able to order in one convenient online session and payment can be made using any major credit card.
Upon making their requests, users may digitally sign a consent form as part of the process or download and return a copy to the National Student Clearinghouse via fax/e-mail. Once the form is completed, students will be able to track the progress of their order via real-time e-mail updates or through the National Student Clearinghouse website.
