My Education Gateway (MEG)

In compliance with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Ball State has developed a new student Web service called MEG (My Education Gateway).  MEG allows current students the ability to view their education records in a single location, using a single login.  And, if the student chooses, the ability to authorize up to four parents/family members to view those education records in PEG (Parental Education Gateway).

Special Notes about MEG

  • Access - MEG is designed as a tool for existing Ball State students.  If you are a new student and have not  attended Orientation, you will not be able to access MEG.  Students are given access privileges as part of the Orientation process.
  • What can I see in MEG - Students can view major and advisor information, financial aid awards, semester grades, schedules, and overall academic standing (good, probation, disqualified).
  • Financial aid questions - Financial aid awards are viewable on MEG.  For additional information about financial aid, please contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid at 765-285-5600.
  • Bursar questions - At this time, bursar information is not available on MEG/PEG.  Students and Authorized payers may view Bursar financial information online at the Cardinal QuickPay site.  Additional general account information may be found at www.bsu.edu/bursar or by contacting the bursar's office at 765-285-1643.
  • Passport ID - If you created a Passport ID through the undergraduate admissions process you do not need to create another one to access to the Parental Education Gateway site.  If you have forgotten the password you may change it here.  Please note: Passport IDs are not able to be edited.  This means the name/email combination originally used during account creation stay with the Passport forever.
  • Can I use a Passport ID in MEG - At this time, Passport IDs are only used in the admissions process and to gain access to PEG.  Other university resources require either a Ball State username/password (ex. Webmail, MEG) or different login (ex. QuickPay).
