Becoming a Supervised User
Students and laboratory staff who wish to use materials under the supervision of an
authorized user
must seek approval from the radiation safety officer. To be approved as a supervised user, you must:
Work under the supervision of an authorized user
Attend a
radiation safety training
session provided by the radiation safety officer
Read the
Radiation Safety User's Guide
and sign the
Radioactive Material User's Agreement
Pass a written test
Be appropriately trained for the safe use of materials in the authorized user's lab
