Becoming a Supervised User

Students and laboratory staff who wish to use materials under the supervision of an authorized user must seek approval from the radiation safety officer. To be approved as a supervised user, you must:

• Work under the supervision of an authorized user
• Attend a radiation safety training session provided by the radiation safety officer
• Read the Radiation Safety User's Guide and sign the Radioactive Material User's Agreement
• Pass a written test
• Be appropriately trained for the safe use of materials in the authorized user's lab
