Viruses on Portable Devices

All portable storage devices (flash drives, CDs, DVDs) should be treated with the same protection as your hard drive. Portable devices have even been known to contain viruses when they are new and have never been used.

It is important your flash drives, disks, and other portable devices are scanned just like your hard drive. Make sure to have the latest version of antivirus software installed on your computer prior to scanning.
