Withdrawing from All Classes

We want you to be successful and achieve your educational goals while you are studying at Ball State. But we also understand that sometimes circumstances present obstacles. When this happens we encourage you to contact the university right away so we can help you determine your best options.

To obtain information about the process to withdraw from all of your main campus classes, contact the Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs, Administration Building, Room 238, 765-285-1545.  Staff in this office will help explain the guidelines regarding withdrawal and assist you with the necessary paperwork. We can help you understand how your decision affects your gradesrefunds of fees and tuitionyour financial aid awards and student loanshousing contracts, and your potential reenrollment as well as provide other information.

If the military has called you to active duty, a specific policy applies.

Online and Distance Education students who find it necessary to withdraw from all courses during a semester or term must complete an online application for withdrawal.  Withdrawal from all courses at any time on or after the first day of classes must be requested on this form and submitted to the School of Extended Education.
