Q: How do I reserve space to get my ad placed?

Q: Who do I contact with questions?
A: The Publicity and Design office can be reached at email@example.com or 765-285-1857. We’re located on the lower level of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center, room L19.
Q: How far in advance should I reserve space?
A: To insure the dates you would like to advertise, reservations should be made as far in advance as your timeline allows.
Q: Once I reserve my space, how do I get my ad to the Publicity and Design Office?
A: Send it over to us at firstname.lastname@example.org!
Q: When do I have to have my ad submitted?
A: Deadlines are available on the reference chart of marketing types.
Q: What happens if my ad is not submitted by the deadline?
A: Refer to the Student Center Publicity and Design Advertising Policy.
Q: What if my ad has a typo or mistake that isn’t noticed until the ad is on display?
A: Unfortunately once ads are sent to the printer, they cannot be modified.
Q: Will the Publicity and Design office proof my ad?
A: Time constraints prevent us from proofing ads. All ads need to be proofed before submission and will be placed on display as-is. If you find a mistake after submission, call us right away!
Q: How do I pay for my ad with a Ball State University account?
A: Organizations or departments with a university account will need to provide their account number during the request process.
Q: How do I pay for an ad if I am not affiliated with the university?
A: Non-affiliated applicants will need to bring a check for the exact cost of their advertising choice to the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Room 112 by an agreed upon date no later than two weeks before the ad is to be displayed. If payment from a non-affiliated organization is not received prior to production, the ad will not run.
Q: What are the dimensions?
A: Ad specifications are laid out for easy reference on our advertising options page.
Q: Can I create a color ad?
A: All advertising options except the table tents are reproduced in full color. If a color table tent is submitted, it will be converted to gray scale and legibility could be affected. Please proof your table tent in gray scale.
Q: Can I change the opacity of design elements?
A: Yes – but the results can be unpredictable. It is not recommended that any changes to opacity be made for the table tents. Other forms of marketing can employ opacity, but limited use above 50% opacity is recommended.
