Technology: Where do I go for help?

Most of us have experienced that moment of panic when your projector stops working, or your hard drive dies, or you are cut-off from the Internet. After you wipe the cold sweat from your brow, you ask, "Where do I go for help?"

Now ... it would be great if you could go to one location on campus and have a personal “geek squad” with their names and numbers on speed dial to help you with your problems instantly, but that dream is not reality. Our community is large with lots of people and lots of different needs, and it is nearly impossible to have one person who knows the answers to all our technology questions. Nonetheless, we know the power of one can be a whole lot less complicated and making your technology world less complicated is our goal.

We are working hard to answer your technology questions and we are driven to make your search for those answers easier, maybe not as easy as the “easy button,” but at least trouble-free and straightforward.

We will work hard to reduce the number of places you need to go for help. We will work hard to make it simpler for you to identify the people who can help you. We may not have just one number to call, but we promise to make your phone calls painless.

Help, Fix, Learn and Create. We want to help you fix your technology world, help you learn new technology, and give you the tools to create meaningful information to share. Text us, follow our tweets, our posts, and even our e-mail, and maybe, just maybe we can prevent the sweat from running down your brow.
