How can I pay for my purchase?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, check, money order, or Cardinal Cash. Sorry, we do NOT accept cash. A valid Ball State ID must be accompanied with the check. Checks and money orders should be written to Ball State University for the exact amount of the purchase. We are unable to give any change for purchases. Cardinal Cash accounts are activated through the Bursar's Office and require a valid Ball State ID for use. Can I make payments for my purchase? No. All transactions must be paid in full at the time of purchase. Are there any loans that I can get to purchase my computer? Yes. The Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid has provided information online that explains how you can get financial assistance to purchase a computer. You can also contact Financial Aid staff at 765-285-5600 for further information regarding the loan program. Can I put my purchase on my Bursar's account? No. All transactions must be paid in full at the Technology Store. Can I pay over the phone using a credit card? Yes. We are able to take credit card numbers over the phone. If you are choosing this payment option, we request to speak to the card holder on the phone at the time of purchase. For security reasons, we do not keep any credit card numbers either before or after a purchase. All credit card numbers will be shredded after transaction completion. I am buying my computer during Orientation. Do I need to bring any specific information?Yes. You will need to have your Ball State student ID number in order to purchase a computer. All students receive their unique Ball State ID numbers in the Ball State University Admittance Letter, and again on the first day of Orientation. Do I have to pay sales tax since I am a student? Yes. All personal purchases are assessed the standard sales tax of 7%.
