University Teleplex

Distance Education

Teleplex professionals work as a team with Ball State University faculty members to coordinate and support the delivery of undergraduate and graduate courses using Blackboard Collaborate, a live interactive web-conferencing software. The Teleplex also supports the delivery of Ball State University undergraduate and graduate asynchronous courses using Mediasite, a rich media presentation-recording system.

Faculty are guided through a training process which helps them understand how to effectively teach in the distance learning environment. Faculty also work closely with the Ball State University iLearn, Online and Distance Education, and University Libraries. The training and delivery process is coordinated through the Teleplex Distance Learning area located in the E. F. Ball Communication Building, Room 179.
