CHES is a competency-based test which assesses the following areas of responsibilities for health education specialists:
The examination is given twice each year here on the Ball State University campus.
The CHES Examination consists of 150 multiple choice questions that measure the possession, application and interpretation of knowledge essential to the practice of health education. The time limit for completing this test is approximately three hours.
