About UTS

Unified Technology Support (UTS) offers a variety of services to members of the university community. Our services fall under the umbrella of Help, Learn, Fix and Create. The members of UTS are constantly collaborating to provide you with the best service possible.

  • Computer Labs - Learn about the general labs, testing labs and adaptive technology lab managed by UTS.

  • Concierge Desk - Staffed with knowledgeable and courteous full-time and student staff, the Concierge Desk is your first stop when visiting the Tech Center in Bracken Library, room 101.
  • Desktop Support  - Desktop support provides IT Support Technologists to assist faculty and staff with their university-owned computer equipment and network connections. To get help from an IT Support Technologist, contact the Technology HelpDesk.
  • Hardware Repair - Where your computer gets fixed if there is a problem with your computer’s hardware.  Desktop Support, the iCare Corner, and TechTime can refer an issue to Hardware Repair.
  • Instructional Classroom Support Services - Faculty can get help incorporating technology into their classroom.  ICSS includes Equipment and Projectionist Services, where faculty, staff, and students can checkout audiovisual equipment.  
  • Technology HelpDesk - Contact the Technology HelpDesk for assistance with technology-related issues. The Technology HelpDesk provides a single point of contact for students, faculty, and staff who are faced with a problem or question.
  • Technology Store  - The Technology Store is a university-owned and operated service conveniently located in the heart of campus within Bracken Library. Ball State students and employees may view, test, purchase and order the latest products from a variety of companies, often with education discount prices.
  • TechTime - TechTime Hardware/Software Support offers assistance to currently enrolled students who are having difficulties with their personal computers and resolving those issues. TechTime Application Support offers help to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students who need software assistance with a Ball State project.
