The Office of Victim Services (OVS) provides educational and supportive services for the Ball State University community related to sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking. The program is designed to assist individuals in the recovery process by providing timely information and confidential support and guidance through the campus judiciary and criminal justice systems.
Allison Wynbissinger is the Ball State University Victim Advocate. Her office is located on the second floor of the Amelia T. Wood Health Center in Room 205. She can be reached at 765-285-7844.
A victim advocate is available after hours for emergencies by calling the Ball State University dispatch 765-285-1111 and requesting the on-call victim advocate be paged.

The Clothesline Project is a visual display of shirts with graphic messages and illustrations designed by survivors of violence or by someone who loves a person who has been victimized. The purpose of the project is to increase awareness of the impact of violence against women and men, to celebrate a person’s strength to survive, and to provide another avenue for them to courageously break the silence that often surrounds their experience.
Movie Screening: The Invisible War
Friday – April 3rd, 7 PM, TC 120, (Q&A to follow) – A groundbreaking investigative documentary about one of our country’s most shameful and best-kept secrets, The Invisible War reveals the epidemic of rape within the U.S. military—and exposes the humiliating choice many soldiers are forced to make between speaking up and serving their country.
The Talk Show
Monday – April 6th, 7-8 PM, Letterman Building 125 – Learn about sexual assault as the presenters step into characters and portray themselves as guests on a Talk Show. Audience members will be left with a better understanding about what constitutes sexual assault, the effects of sexual assault, and the components of consensual sex.
Stand Up! Bystander Intervention Training

Learn the ways in which you can safely interfere in any situation where someone else needs help—including sexual, verbal or physical assault. Registration is limited so please sign up early! Panel: Sexual Assault and Consent
Thursday – April 9th, 7-8 PM, TC 120 – Attend this panel of experts from the Muncie and Ball State community that will answer anonymous questions regarding sexual assault, consent, Title IX, and resources available to students.
50 Shades of Consent
Tuesday – April 14th, 7-8:30 PM, SC 301 & 302 – Interact with a panel of BDSM advocates, victim advocates, psychology professionals and students as they discuss the importance of consent, even in the context of BDSM, answer anonymous questions regarding sexual assault, and promote communication in sexual relationships.
Are You A Perp?
Thursday – April 16th, 7-8:30 PM, Library Basement Resource Room 1 – This program is open to the campus community and the goal is to educate Ball State students on consent, sexual assault, and how to avoid being a perpetrator in situations that occur on college campuses. This program is meant to be interactive and engaging.
The Teal Ribbon Campaign
The month of April – University Green – The Teal Ribbon is a symbol for awareness and prevention of sexual assault. This April, in observance of the national Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we are honoring those who have been affected by sexual assault and reminding our campus community: You are not alone.
