Class Standing

Class Standing
As students make progress toward their graduation goal, traditional designations of class standing, or “classification,”’ become a part of the total picture. Undergraduate students are designated as freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors during their academic careers at Ball State. This class standing is determined by the number of credit hours earned shown below:

* Freshman: 0-29 credit hours earned
* Sophomore: 30-59 credit hours earned
* Junior: 60-89 credit hours earned
* Senior: 90 or more credit hours earned
