DAPR Edits and Exceptions

The DAPR (Degree Analysis Progress Report) measures the students progress and should be routinely printed each semester to assist the student in determining his/her progress. The DAPR list all requirements for a selected degree and academic program of study, among other things. For example, you may receive special permission to substitute a course for the one normally required, or your department may authorize a special way to earn credit. These are called "exceptions," or "edits" which are shown on the DAPR. To make sure these edits are official, the Advising Resource Coordinator must be informed by the student, usually through the Faculty Advisor, to make certain these are in your records. Students should meet with the advisor each semester to review the DAPR and their major to see if they are on track in their chosen program. Students who change a major should get a new DAPR to accurately see the new requirements and how courses apply.
