The credit/no credit option for taking courses applies in situations when receiving credit for a course without the grade seems beneficial to a student.Typically with a course that is taken as a
credit/no credit course, the student will not receive a grade for the class that impacts GPA, but will receive credit if the class is “passed.” Sometimes students will seek permission from a department to take a class in this manner, or you may find that there are some courses at Ball State that you
must take as credit/no credit (like MATHS 108).For more information or to indicate that a course is registered as a credit/no credit grade option, you must visit the
Registration Office (Lucina Hall B43) and complete a credit/no credit form.
