At this time, only the Web-Based Training (WBT) course, AWR-212-W, Advanced Crisis Communications Strategies for Public Safety Communications Supervisors, is available. When our other courses become available, specific directions will be added.
Registering for the Web-Based Training (WBT) Course
Important Note: Safari 5 was released on June 8, 2010, by Apple. It causes the "white screen" problems with Blackboard. If you wish to use Safari with Blackboard, please continue to use version 4. However, we recommend using
Firefox
.
The WBT course is offered through Ball State University's Blackboard Learning Management System. In order to register for either of the courses, please follow these steps:
- Go to www.acctraining.org and fill out the Registration form.
- Click the Register button.
- A Confirmation page will appear confirming successful registration.
- An email will be sent to the address you provided on the Registration form containing your username and password.
- Once you have received your username and password, go to blackboard.bsu.edu.
- Enter your username and password.
- Select "Advanced Crisis Communications Strategies for Public Safety Communication Supervisors" on the right-hand side of the screen.
- Follow the directions within each module until you have completed the course.
