On Tuesday, September 7 and Wednesday, September 8 JD Burke of Strategy & Technology visited the CMD Insight and Research Media Lab on behalf of OEDN to work with Vinayak Tanksale, Instructor of Computer Science to complete the installation of a testing solution for iTV apps. This installation makes Ball State the first university campus in the US to have a closed-loop, localized development and testing environment for iTV applications.
Learn more about the capabilities and set up and how the facility will be used in the video above as Insight and Research Director Mike Bloxham walks through our plans. The lab will be a testbed for iTV applications to inform industry debate around consumer adoption and use of iTV propositions, for research collaboration with industry partners and will feed into curriculum development around interactive television. Ball State students will also be afforded hands-on experience with industry equipment and will be working on projects that impact the marketplace, preparing them for careers that embrace interactivity.
