The Disney Entrepreneurial Experience
The Entrepreneurship Program focuses on training students to acquire innovation and new business development skills. Today's business climate requires students to understand the
process of entrepreneurial activity and the practices of sound management. Very few companies are exemplary in creating new business while simultaneously delivering world class customer service and operations efficiency. The Walt Disney Company is perhaps the best example of a company that delivers on all these metrics. The legacy of Walt Disney continues to live in the company he founded. The company is always searching for new markets to enter and innovative ways to attract and serve its customers in its existing businesses. The highlight of the learning experience is a senior trip to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida.
In collaboration with Disney executives, students within the entrepreneurship program are hosted "backstage" in mid February of their senior year. Students see firsthand the innovations and business practices that put Disney at the top of the entertainment industry.
