To honor the legacy of Benjamin V. Cohen who passed away on August 15, 1983 and his dedication to resolving worldwide conflicts peacefully, the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at Ball State University will host a conference in Muncie, Indiana on April 6 and 7, 2018. Community activists and scholars from all disciplines as well as laypersons will present on the theme “Peacemakers: People, Politics, and Possibilities.” More specifically, these individuals will share strategies, research, and recommendations related to peacemaking and peace building, particularly those that consider how peace is deeply embedded in local, national, and international contexts.

Organized by the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies and with the financial support, in part, from the Benjamin V. Cohen Memorial Endowment Fund, H.C. Gemmer Family Christian Foundation, and Champions for a Safe Community.
