The Social Science Research Center (SSRC) is an interdisciplinary research program sponsored by the College of Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Social Work at Ball State University. Established in 1981, the SSRC provides support to faculty and staff, as well as public and private organizations for the development and completion of externally-funded social science research and service projects. The center also serves as a resource center for program development by providing consultation, research support, and professional services in collaboration with local, state, and federal human service communities.

The SSRC offers services on a contractual or community service basis, depending on the nature and scope of the service(s) requested. Project requests are customized for the organization or client, and fees are based upon the amount of service required to fulfill the project's needs.
