The Mission, Core Values and Beliefs of the Fisher Institute

The mission of the John and Janice Fisher Institute for Wellness and Gerontology is to develop leaders who are confident and supported as they deliver high quality initiatives to enhance well-being among their clients and their communities.

We believe that programs developed by the John and Janice Fisher Institute for Wellness and Gerontology should reflect a dynamic, multidimensional, systems approach to health and well-being for individuals within families, communities, and cultures, as well as within the ecosystem. This dynamic process develops and matures across the course of a lifetime, so that the individual has fluctuating and every changing needs, options, and choices at various points of human development.
