As one of only a few programs in the country that combines wellness (major) and business (minor) degrees, the wellness management program continues to fill a niche in the educational spectrum.
The innovativeness of our program has been recognized for more that a decade, including identification as an outstanding graduate program by The Wellness Council of America. Students collaborate with faculty, practicing professionals, business leaders, government leaders, and community partners to enhance community well-being.
At Ball State, we take an innovative approach to wellness. You will concentrate on what allows individuals to be healthy and what makes life worth living (salutogenesis) instead of the more traditional prevention and risk reduction approach that focuses on factors which keep people from developing diseases (pathogenesis).
Master of Science/Master of Arts in Wellness Management
Our 2-year wellness management program prepares you to lead efforts to improve community health and well-being through organized interventions in both management and entrepreneurial capacities.
Undergraduate Minor in Interdisciplinary Work Place Wellness
The minor helps students to understand the importance of employee wellness and the value of human capital. In the workplace, diverse groups collaborate to develop a vital and productive workplace culture.
Workplaces are a key partner in efforts to improve the health and well-being of your nation. This minor is an excellent addition to many degrees, including exercise science and adult fitness, nutrition, nursing, health education, health promotion, human resources, communication studies, and others.
