The Faculty Writing Community is a chance to make a date with yourself to write. The idea is that we make time in our lives for all of our other activities: teaching, prepping classes, meeting with students, etc, but we rarely set aside special time just to write. The FWC is a chance to focus on writing and writing only.

 

The FWC meets Wednesday from 8am to 10am in the Writing Center (RB 295).

 

You bring your laptop (and breakfast if you want) and we all write quietly. At the end of the 2 hours, we all record the number of words we have written as a pat on the back.

 

You do not have to sign up; just show up and enjoy some quiet writing time.
