Saturday Art Classes

Fall 2014

Architecture: Inside & Out  is our theme for this Fall. Our teachers have created lessons that cover traditional and new forms of architecture, interior design, and the ways buildings are integrated into the surrounding landscape. As always, both 2-D and 3-D materials will be used.

Classes are held on seven (7) Saturday mornings, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m., Sept. 27 – Nov. 15 (No classes on Oct. 11) in the Art & Journalism Building at Ball State University. Open to any child, grades 1-6 (sorry, but we cannot accept Kindergarten students). Each class is limited to 18 students. Pre-registration is recommended if you want to ensure your child’s enrollment. This is not required for enrollment, but if the class fills, it will be closed to additional students.

 2 ways to register!

PRE-REGISTER. There are 18 places in every class, but this guarantees your child’s place in a class. Mail or hand-deliver a completed registration form with payment, postmarked by Sat., Sept. 20 (this deadline is ONLY if you wish to pre-register). Registrations can still be hand-delivered to our office -- AJ 401 -- after 9/20. On Sept. 27, come to the registration tables in the Atrium of the Art Journalism Building (ground floor) to get your child’s teacher and classroom assignment.
  WALK-IN REGISTRATION on Sept. 27, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
in the Atrium of the Art Journalism Building (ground floor). The first class begins at 9:30 a.m. that day. Any remaining openings in the classes are filled on this day.

NOTE: There will be no parking in the lot next to our building this semester --
however, there are two parking garages and other lots nearby
which are available and free on Saturdays.

Fees are $35 for the first child enrolled and $25 for any other enrolled siblings. This includes all the materials needed for the classes. Classes are grouped by grade levesl. All classes are taught by Art Education majors and supervised by Dr. Mary Carter.
