Field Study and Lab Opportunities

As an undergraduate student, you have an opportunity to gain research experience that is typically experienced by master's or doctoral students. Previous students have worked side-by-side with faculty on researching or investigating:

  • conservation of plant diversity
  • plant community ecology
  • floristic inventories of natural areas
  • vegetation monitoring in response to fire management
  • ultrastructure, physiology, and taxonomy of fungi
  • climate and pollution stress effects on forest communities
  • landscape analysis of regional plant communities
