Awards and Achievements

The quality of the educational experience provided by the College of Architecture and Planning is widely recognized by a range of national awards, honors, and rankings. Our programs and the achievements of our students, faculty, and graduates have become models for design and planning education and practice across the nation and beyond.

All of our professional degrees are nationally accredited by the various accrediting agencies in each discipline. Beyond that, the college boasts a number of other noteworthy achievements:

  • Architecture: Named among “America’s World-Class Schools of Architecture” by Design Intelligence in 2009. We have Indiana’s only state-supported architecture program.
  • Landscape architecture: Both the Bachelor of Landscape Architecture and Master of Landscape Architecture programs were ranked in the Top 10 in the nation by Design Intelligence in 2012.
  • Urban planning: Ranked 17th nationally in the Planetizen 2007 Guide to Graduate Urban Planning Programs.
