College of Architecture and Planning

Facilities and Resources

Ball State students in the College of Architecture and Planning are learning to create environments that are functional and comfortable, meeting the needs of their constituencies in innovative ways. They’re doing this within facilities that are innovative and cutting-edge in their own right.

Housed in the Architecture Building on campus, our facilities and technology provide strong support for the diverse learning, research, and service activities that take place daily in the college.

Studios and labs are state-of-the-art, putting the latest professional equipment and tools at students’ fingertips. Examples include a digital fabrication lab, preservation lab, simulation lab, wood/metal/plastics shop, and media room. In addition, each student receives an individual work/study space in a fully equipped studio.

Students also make good use of excellent library and exhibit facilities, tapping the knowledge in thousands of volumes of literature focused on their field and exploring intriguing displays of exemplary work.
