Studios and Labs
Studio and lab spaces in the College of Architecture and Planning provide stimulating learning environments filled with the latest technology and buzzing with creative activity. Our
design studios include individual work/study spaces for each student during his or her time at Ball State.
Experiential learning is prominent in the college’s lab facilities, which feature state-of-the-art equipment and offer the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals seeking to solve real-world design and planning problems. Examples include the GIS computer labs,
digital simulation lab,
digital fabrication lab,
preservation lab, and
wood/metal/plastics shop.
In the media room, an IT specialist helps students use cutting-edge equipment for photographing models and design boards.
