Faculty Initiatives

The faculty of the College of Architecture and Planning (CAP) are actively pushing environmental ideas into the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning.

Jonathan Spodek: coordinating the ongoing ecoRehab project.

Robert Koester: working with faculty from the Universities of Houston, Oregon, and Idaho on a long-term national "competition" for multi-disciplinary, high-performance campus design efforts. Visit the Society of Building Science Educators for more information.

Walter Grondzik: co-author of the recently published second edition of The Green Studio Handbook.

Meg Caulkins: author of the recently published The Sustainable Sites Handbook: A Complete Guide to the Principles, Strategies, and Best Practices for Sustainable Landscapes.

Miguel San Miguel: lead designer of two award winning, LEED accredited libraries.

Lisa Dunaway: instructor of PLAN 433/533: Environmental Planning and speaker at the Indiana APA Fall 2011 Conference in Brown Country State Park.

Joe Bilello: coordinating the use of reclaimed materials by faculty and students undertaking research and applied research projects and is currently requesting proposals for their use.
