Faculty Experts
The work of the seasoned faculty in the College of Architecture and Planning has made a difference as close to home as Muncie, Indiana, and as far away as Sri Lanka.
Our focus is on sustainable design and planning, whether it is building a house with straw, researching the latest environmental technology and applications in commercial building, or using digital fabrication to recycle scrap limestone.
Our projects span designing and building a LEED-certified hotel in time for the 2012 Super Bowl in Indianapolis to studying how impoverished people use scavenged materials for housing. Our assistance ranges from redevelopment in a small Indiana town to building homes for tsunami survivors in Sri Lanka.
