Rankings and Recognitions

The quality of our architecture program in Ball State's College of Architecture and Planning is acknowledged nationally.

We are rated “world-class with distinction,” one of only 20 distinguished programs (of more than 115 universities in the nation) in The Cramer Report: America’s World-Class Schools of Architecture. Receiving the stamp of “world-class” is substantive because it is based on current rankings and those over the past 10 years. It is also based on ratings by academic deans and chairs from around the country, overall campus environment and student evaluations, and program accreditation.

Our consistent national rankings are based on our ability to continue to attract the best students, retain our outstanding faculty, and engage our amazing alumni.

The most recent national Architect Registration Examination rates of success statistics stand as evidence of how well Ball State architecture students are prepared. Our graduates performed exceptionally well in the following divisions of the exam:

  • mechanical and electrical systems—5th
  • materials and methods—10th
  • site planning—13th
  • predesign—20th

Our excellence is just part of the standard around here. Ball State's College of Architecture and Planning is nationally acclaimed for its programs.
